NABARD organises State Level RIDF Workshop

Ranchi: NABARD Jharkhand organised a sensitization workshop on Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).

The workshop was participated by Amarendra Pratap Singh Principal Secretary Education, Deepthi Jayaraj, IRS Special Secy (Finance), S A K Bajpayee, Joint Secretary Finance, Government of Jharkhand and senior Officials of all Implementing Departments including Water Resources, Rural Construction, Rural Dev, Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Health, Watershed Mission, Forest Departments.

On behalf of NABARD A K Padhi CGM and Annie Alexandra, GM and other senior officers were present in the workshop.

Mr Padhi highlighted the scope for rural infrastructure financing under Agriculture and Social Sector in the State. He gave a brief insight on RIDF financing in the State. Principal Secretary Education appreciated the role of RIDF in the development of the State and advised all depts. to effectively leverage low-cost financing.

A detailed presentation was made by NABARD on RIDF, Direct Lending products & introduction of web portal on RIDF. Issues such as creating a shelf of proposals, diversification of activities, preferring timely claims and strengthening monitoring system, availing financial assistance under WIF(Warehouse Infrastructure Fund), DIDF ( Dairy Infrastructure and Development Fund) and NIDA(NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance) were discussed at length.
