Those who have skills with knowledge get priority in jobs: Das

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that in the era of knowledge and technology only those get priority in jobs who have also skills in their hands and such people also move towards self-employment.

Addressing the people after inaugurating the state’s fifth nursing skill college at Itki he said that the tribal girls have a huge interest in nursing but it was unfortunate that they had to migrate to other states in search of jobs.

He said that in the meeting of the Welfare Department it was decided to open nursing skill colleges in 11 tribal areas so that these girls can be provided jobs by enhancing their skills. He said that the government has been successful in its efforts as the girls were getting 100 per cent jobs.

Mr Das said that earlier the girls were forced to go to other states to take nursing training where they were subjected to torture and social and physical exploitation and despite being aware of the fact no efforts were made in this regard however the present government to stop migration and create job opportunities for the girls started nursing college in the state itself.

The Chief Minister said that in Jharkhand job opportunities are also increasing in the textile sectors as the investors are being drawn to the state which is mainly due to honest and hardworking manpower which is also disciplined and skilled.

He said that in the textile sector many girls have got jobs and foundation laying and inaugurations are also happening which has helped to control migration to a large extent.

Those present on the occasion included Welfare Minister Louis Marandi, Mandar MLA Gangotri Kujur and Secretary Welfare Himani Pandey.
