Woman swept away in flood waters in Chatra

Chatra: A woman has swept away in the heavy current of the Nilanjana river under Hunterganj Police Station area of this district.

The deceased has been identified as Anita Devi (30) a resident of Basariya village under Vashishthnagar Jori Police Station area of this district. Villagers said that the woman had gone to the market and on her way back suddenly the water level rose up due to which she was swept in the currents.

Later the body of the woman was recovered five kilometers away from the spot where she had actually drowned.
