
Ranchi: Chief Secretary DK Tiwari said that the Chief Minister has directed to encourage employment-generating Industries.
Chairing the meeting of the high power committee on Jharkhand Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy 2016 he said that the clothes manufactured by Arvind Textiles in Ranchi are being now sold in International Market. He said the company so far has manufactured garments worth Rs 7 crore out of which clothes worth Rs 6 crore have been exported.
He said that the factory every month was providing new opportunities for the workers of the state and the production in the factory was the result of the hard work put by the workers.
He said that the factory was started in November 2018 with 855 local workers and every month new workers have been added and by June 2019 their numbers increased to 1873. During the meeting as per the policy of the state government, a grant of Rs 3.5 crore for the company in the form of factory stamp duty, registration, power tariff, electricity duty was sanctioned.
In the meeting construction of private General Industrial Park in Kamalpur and Sini of Saraikela-Kharswan district in the area of 63.49 acres was approved which will be built by Majority Infracon Pvt Ltd at a cost of Rs 63.81 crore. He said that the park will create new job opportunities and also increase economic activities in the area.
He said that soon Flipkart will also expand its business in the state and the committee gave its approval to the MoU which has been inked with the online marketing company.
He said that the company would be providing market at the national level for the products manufactured by small entrepreneurs artisans weavers and sculptors which will help the traditional items get national identity and will also help in improving the economic condition of the people involved.
