Ranchi: Similar to the Lok Sabha elections Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to go into the Vidhan Sabha polls without the formation of the committee as according to the newly appointed president Dr Rameshwar Oraon since the polls were near therefore it was not the right time to form the committees.
He said that another reason for not announcing the State Committee is that it might create dissatisfaction among leaders and party workers. The Jharkhand Pradesh committee of the Congress was considered to be the most supreme body of the party in the state however after 2017 the State Committee could not be formed and some selected faces went on to become the key players for the party.
It appears that the party has also failed to learn from its mistake in the Lok Sabha polls and without forming the committee it is now getting up to contest the Vidhan Sabha election. It was widely anticipated that after appointed of Rameshwar Oraon the Pradesh committee would be formed as prior to him Dr Ajay Kumar could also not form the committee.
On the other hand, working president of the state Congress Rajesh Thakur said that it was not important to have the state committee but instead a new committee was functioning which would be playing an important role in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections.
