Weather update: Ranchi records 45.5 mm rainfall in last one week, rains expected to continue till Wednesday

Ranchi: The state capital throughout the day on Sunday continued to receive rainfall at regular intervals. Similar conditions prevailed in the city a day earlier also. In the last week the state capital had received 45.5 mm of rainfall. Director of the Ranchi MET department SD Kotal said that the weather conditions will remain the same till September 11.

For the last 24 hours Monsoon has been active in the state as many areas of the state has received light to medium range of rainfall. East Singhbhum has received the maximum rainfall at 45.2 mm while the minimum temperature at 22.6 degree Celsius and maximum 32.4 degree Celsius was both recorded at Daltonganj.

The weather department has said that in the next four days many areas of the state is likely to witness light to medium range of rainfall. From June 1 to September 7 the state government has received 587.7 mm of rainfall as against average rainfall of 910.8 mm which was still less than 28 percent of average annual rainfall.
