Mother is the first teacher: CM on Teachers Day

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has extended his greetings to all the teachers on the occasion of the Teachers Day and in his message has urged them to keep the honor maintained through their knowledge and sacrifice.

Recalling his own days Mr Das said that he himself gets nostalgic when he recalls his days of being a student and said that that position at which he has reached and his works for the state was due to the knowledge given to him by his teachers.

He said that in his school days he use to very excitedly participate in the programmes which were organised on the occasion of the Teachers Day at Harijan School Bhalubasha.

The Chief Minister said that he has grown up listening to the saying that since god can not be everywhere, therefore, he made Mother who is considered as god in the country. She not only gives birth to the child but also act as his teacher and lays the foundation for the future. From the first step she makes the child stand on his feet and also makes him aware of good and bad habits.

Mr Das said that the tradition of Guru and his disciple was very old in the country and paid his rich tributes to the great educationist Bharat Ratna former President Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrsihana for his contribution in the era of education.

He had said that if given education in the right manner that all social evils can be removed. Mr Das has urged the people on the to honor the teachers and they also get educated and teach others as there is no age limit to get education.
