Sports grounds to be built in every panchayat, women football teams also: Das

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said to bring out the hidden sports talent in the villages the Kamal Clubs have been formed from the panchayat level to the district level whose registration is being done under the societies act so that they are able to get the benefits of the government schemes.

Mr Das said that he wanted that a national level football team should come up from Jharkhand for which a better coach will be appointed. Apart from that women football team will be set up in every panchayat. He said that for the practice of players in every panchayat grounds will be formed and in the first phase in every bloc, two panchayats will be combined to have one sports ground which will be started from October.

He said that from Santhal Pargana foundation will be laid for this and the grounds will be surrounded by wires and will have changing rooms and toilets. He asked the block level head of the Kamal club to give details related to the name of the panchayat and ground to the district head and the names will be later handed over to the government officials.

He said that due to poverty and lack of knowledge the players are not able to get nutritious food and said that in winners of team at the panchayat block district and state level of Chief Minister Football Invitation Cup will get Rs 1000 each for nutritious food.

Mr Das said that registration of the clubs should be done soon so that the funds can be transferred through DBT in the accounts of the club. He said that hockey and archery talent of the state has made a name across the world and similarly the state government s encouraging football and urged the participants to participate with full enthusiasm in Fit India Campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sports Minister Amar Bauri said that Jharkhand was the only state where the clubs have been formed at the panchayat level and through registration they are being encouraged in sports activities. He said that a record of sorts has been created for participation of so many players in one event and urged the members of the clubs to play their effective role in development of state.
