Chief Minister lauds Sakhi Mandal for their role in all round development of state

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has written a letter to the sisters who are part of the Sakhi mandals in the state in which he has lauded their efforts in the all-round development of the state.

In his letter the chief minister has lauded the dedication of the Sakhi Mandal for their work which has been done in the last 4.5 years and and said that their role is very important to take Jharkhand further on path of progress and in his letter he has said that ensuring that developments reach to the last person in the society is the soul focus of the state government in which the Sakhi mandals are also acting as a bridge.

He said that the sisters of the Sakhi Mandal have participated in large numbers in the Jal Shakti Abhiyaan which has been launched by the state government on a mission mode for water conservation and said that the woman through their participation have created awareness and inspired the people in the rural areas for environment conservation and water conservation.

The chief minister in his letter has further said that the government has been successful to a certain extent in its fight against malnutrition unemployment child marriages witchcraft and the sisters have worked in these areas with dedication due to which the maternal and child mortality rate in the state has come down. He said that due to their spirit and hard work the sisters of the Sakhi Mandal as women Masons also contributed in making Jharkhand 100 per cent ODF and became an example work following for the entire country.

The Jharkhand state livelihood promotion society organised a special meeting of the Sakhi mandals at the villages in all the blocks in which the members participated in full enthusiasm and in this meeting the letter of the Chief Minister was read out by the head of the Sakhi mandals apart from that the women were also informed about the various schemes which are being run by the State Government for their welfare.

In the meeting, the members of the Sakhi Mandal took a pledge that they would be working to ensure that the roots of the development reach to the last person in the society and all sections will be made part of the development process in the state. The women of the Sakhi Mandals thanked the Chief Minister for the letter and assures that they would be extending their full cooperation in the prosperity and well being of the state.
