Daltonganj: An undertrial inmate of the Medninagar central jail who was brought for treatment at the Sadar Hospital managed to flee from the spot only to be nabbed later by the police.
The prisoner Chotu Singh was lodged in the jail on the charges of murdering his wife. Jail Superintendent Praveen Kumar said that over a complaint of ill health he was taken to the Sadar Hospital Friday evening where he managed to dodge the police and escaped.
However, on Saturday he was once again caught from Chachmuhan area. Police said that after the criminal escaped police somehow managed to trace his girlfriend who provided details of his whereabouts after which he was nabbed. The SP has been asked to take action against policemen who were found negligent in their work due to which the man escaped.
