Latehar: An encounter on Saturday took place between the police personnel and the ultras belonging to the Tritiya Prastuti Committee
(TPC) at Dakra forest located under Balumath Police Station area of this district.
Police sources said that during the encounter many ultras have sustained bullet injuries. As the police cornered the ultras they fled
into deeper reaches into the forest leaving their belongings including arms behind.
Police said that Latehar SP Prashant Anand had received a tip-off regarding the ultras in the area after which police conducted search operations.
However, as soon as the ultras saw the police they opened fire to which the police personnel retaliated. Search and combing operations are still on in the area.
