Garhwa: A four month toddler and a 60 year old farmer were among the two who lost their lives as lightning fell in separate locations in this district. The farmer Pachu Yadav (60) was working in his farm at Sisri village during which lightning fell upon him and he died on the spot.
Upon receiving information a team of Kharaundi Police reached on the spot and sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
In a separate incident, a couple was injured while their four-month old son who was sleeping in the lap of her mother died as lightning fell upon them at Sonupurwa village. The woman was sent to Garhwa Sadar Hospital for treatment while her husband is being treated at Manjhiaon itself.
