
Ranchi: The wait of the people finally got over as the monsoon rains hit Ranchi and many other districts of Jharkhand giving a much-needed respite to the people from hot and humid conditions and especially the farmers who were staring at their drying farms.
According to the Weather Department, tomorrow and also on Friday the state is likely to witness rainfall. During the day Ranchi received a rainfall of 11 mm, Jamshedpur 7 mm and Daltonganj 7 mm.
The weather department said that apart from Ranchi, Khunti, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Giridih, Godda, Gumla, Hazaribagh and Jamtara witnessed a medium range of rainfall coupled with lightning and in the next two days also the similar weather conditions are expected.
Weather scientist at the local MET department RS Sharma said that due to a low-pressure system in Bay of Bengal rainfall is taking place in Jharkhand.
