Latehar: Couple of farmers lost their lives as lightning fell under Chandwa Police Station area of this district.
Police said that the farmers were working in their fields when suddenly it started raining, to prevent themselves from the rains both of them had taken shelter under a tree when suddenly lightning fell on the tree, killing the duo on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Railu Ganjhu (45) and Manoj Ganjhu (30). Upon receiving information local mukhiya and panchayat sachiv reached on the spot and also informed the police.
