Ghaghra (Gumla): A mobile science exhibition was organised at the Ghaghra block office premises on Saturday, offering students an opportunity to explore scientific concepts through models, experiments and practical demonstrations. Students of Project Girls High School, Ghaghra, participated enthusiastically in the programme.
The exhibition focused on the theme ‘Chemistry and Life with Focus on Water’, highlighting the importance of water in everyday life, water conservation, access to safe drinking water and the role of chemistry in daily activities. Students were introduced to various scientific models and experiments, helping them understand how classroom concepts are applied in real-life situations.
Block Development Officer-cum-Circle Officer Sushil Kumar Khakha attended the event and interacted with the students to learn about their projects and scientific activities. He encouraged the girls to develop a keen interest in science, remain curious, explore new ideas and pursue opportunities in scientific fields. He also shared useful suggestions on developing scientific thinking and building a future in science and technology.
The programme aimed to promote scientific temper, creativity and curiosity among students, particularly those from rural areas, by providing them with hands-on exposure to scientific concepts and emerging technologies. Officials also encouraged schools to ensure greater student participation in such exhibitions so that more children could benefit from practical learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The students showed considerable enthusiasm throughout the event. BPO Pushpa Toppo and students from various schools were also present on the occasion.
