The event focused on the theme of a drug-free youth population and India's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Organised under the aegis of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Gumla, the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 9 to 12. Participants shared their views on the dangers of substance abuse and the role of young people in building a healthier, more aware and developed society.

Through the Youth Parliament, students had an opportunity to present their arguments, engage with social issues and demonstrate their understanding of the challenges facing young people. Their discussions highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of education, awareness and responsible behaviour in achieving India's development goals.

As part of the initiative, students also used a suggestion box installed on the school premises to submit their ideas and recommendations in writing. The exercise aimed to encourage creativity, independent thinking and greater social awareness among students.

Based on their participation and presentations, the organisers selected the winners of the competition. Divya Kumari of Class 12 arts secured first place, followed by Aastha Kumari of Class 12 science in second place. Vikram Shivam of Class 11 science finished third. With the country aiming to achieve developed-nation status by 2047, such initiatives seek to prepare young people to play an active role in nation-building.
