The arrival of newly appointed Jharkhand BJP state in-charge Gajendra Singh Patel, along with co-in-charges Saurabh Singh and Nivedita Singh, has set off a fresh round of organisational activity in the state unit.

The new office-bearers were welcomed at Ranchi airport by state BJP president Aditya Sahu, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and other senior party leaders and workers.

Soon after reaching Ranchi, Patel outlined the broad priorities for the BJP in Jharkhand, saying the party would work with the vision of a developed India at the centre of its organisational approach. He also underlined the importance of workers in strengthening the party’s presence across the state.

Patel said the BJP’s focus would be on building a stronger organisational base in Jharkhand in line with the party’s ideology. His initial remarks indicate an emphasis on expanding the organisation, increasing grassroots participation and making the party’s structure more effective at the ground level.

The new functionaries began their visit with a trip to Ulihatu, the birthplace of tribal icon and freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda. They paid floral tributes at his statue before proceeding to the BJP office in Khunti, where party leaders and workers organised a welcome programme.

Later, a meeting was held at the Jharkhand BJP headquarters in Ranchi with state president Aditya Sahu and members of the state committee. Discussions focused on the party’s organisational structure, coordination with workers and preparations for upcoming activities.

Strengthening the organisation at the booth level and ensuring more effective implementation of party programmes on the ground were among the key areas discussed during the meeting.

Newly appointed organisation general secretary Pawan Sai was also present with the new in-charges during the major meetings and programmes.

The party has also planned informal interactions between the new in-charges and senior leaders and workers. A meeting with functionaries associated with the Seva Sankalp campaign is also proposed.

Patel’s first visit to Jharkhand after taking charge comes with the state BJP seeking to further strengthen its organisational machinery and grassroots network. His initial engagements have placed the focus on worker participation, booth-level organisation and better coordination between different layers of the party.

The coming days are likely to provide a clearer picture of how the new leadership team plans to translate these priorities into a broader organisational strategy for the Jharkhand BJP.
