Ramgarh Police Recover 245 Lost Mobile Phones in Three Months Under ‘Operation Bharosa’

The Ramgarh Police have recovered 245 mobile phones reported lost or missing over the past three months and handed them back to their rightful owners as part of a special initiative called “Operation Bharosa”.

The campaign is aimed at strengthening public confidence in the police by helping people recover lost property. Police teams have been conducting searches based on missing-mobile reports registered at police stations and complaints filed through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.

Ramgarh Superintendent of Police directed all police station and outpost in-charges to undertake a special drive to trace and recover missing mobile phones using the available complaints and technical information.

As part of the latest phase of the operation, police recovered 61 mobile phones from Ramgarh as well as other districts, including Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Bokaro, Palamu and Garhwa. The recovered phones were handed over to their respective owners at a district-level programme organised by the Ramgarh Police.

The latest recovery takes the total number of mobile phones recovered under Operation Bharosa to 245. Police recovered 125 phones during the first phase, 59 in the second phase and another 61 in the third phase.

During the programme, the Superintendent of Police also explained to members of the public how to use the CEIR portal and register an online complaint regarding a lost mobile phone. People were encouraged to share the information with family members, friends and acquaintances so that more citizens can make use of the facility.

People who received their recovered phones appreciated the initiative and expressed their gratitude to the Ramgarh Police.

The police said similar drives would continue in the future to assist citizens in recovering lost property and further strengthen public trust in the police.
