Restrictions Imposed Around 4 Centres in Ranchi Ahead of NEET-PG 2026 Exam

Ranchi is tightening security arrangements ahead of the NEET-PG 2026 examination scheduled to be held on August 30. The administration has imposed prohibitory orders within a 200-metre radius of four examination centres in the city.

The order has been issued by the Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). As per the order, the restrictions will remain in force from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on August 30.

During this period, the gathering of five or more people at a single place within 200 metres of the examination centres will be prohibited. The administration said the measure has been taken to prevent unnecessary crowds around the centres and avoid any possible law-and-order situation during the examination.

Police officers, security personnel and magistrates will be deployed at the examination centres to ensure adequate security. Officials have also been directed to complete all necessary preparations to ensure that the examination is conducted peacefully and without any malpractice.

Security arrangements will remain particularly strict around the four centres throughout the examination period. The administration will also closely monitor activities in the vicinity of the centres to prevent any disruption and ensure smooth conduct of the NEET-PG examination.
