From Hospital Bed, Devendra Mahto Urges Students to Stay United Amid Ongoing Protest

Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto has appealed to protesters to remain united and continue their movement against alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations. Mahto, who is currently undergoing treatment at Ranchi's Sadar Hospital, released a video message from the hospital addressing the students involved in the ongoing agitation.

In his message, Mahto alleged that attempts were being made to weaken the movement and divert it from its original direction. He urged protesting students not to be influenced by rumours, confusion or efforts that could create divisions within their ranks.

Mahto said the sustained student movement over the JPSC-JSSC issue had brought the matter into wider public focus and eventually led to the formation of an inquiry committee. He added that the government was now listening to the students' demands in a more positive manner, but maintained that the movement would continue until the students received what he described as complete justice.

The student leader further claimed that efforts to weaken or derail the agitation had intensified after nearly a month of protests. He said that he would reveal more details about such attempts and the people allegedly involved at an appropriate time.

Appealing directly to the protesters, Mahto said they should not allow the movement to break apart or lose its unity under any circumstances. He called on students to remain together and continue pursuing their demands through the ongoing democratic movement.

Mahto also said that he would return to the protesters once his health improves. His video message has since triggered renewed discussion among students about maintaining unity and deciding the next course of action in the ongoing JPSC-JSSC protest.
