‘Students’ Voice, With Students’: Jharkhand Govt Seeks Youth Participation in Exam Reforms

Ranchi: Calling dialogue and student participation essential for meaningful reforms, the Jharkhand government has launched the “Students’ Voice – With Students” campaign to seek suggestions from young people across the state for making the education and competitive examination system more transparent, fair, reliable and time-bound.

Addressing the youth of Jharkhand, the government said the dreams of millions of students and their families are closely linked to the credibility of the recruitment system. It acknowledged that sectors such as education, health, social security, commissions and employment had not received adequate attention and said efforts were now being made to address these challenges through concrete reforms.
The government highlighted the preparation of new regulations for JPSC and other recruitment examinations, aimed at making the examination process more transparent and accountable. It also pointed to strict legal provisions introduced to protect the integrity of examinations and prevent incidents such as question paper leaks.

According to the government, the objective is not merely to respond to current problems but to establish Jharkhand as a state that demonstrates practical solutions to the challenges facing examination systems across the country. It expressed confidence that the state's youth, with their determination and participation, could help Jharkhand set an example in examination reforms.
The government also reiterated its commitment to creating more employment and opportunities for the state's youth. It said several changes had been introduced in recruitment processes and stressed that the interests of local youth would remain a priority under the principle of “Jharkhand First.”

As Jharkhand enters its 25th year, the government described the state's development as a shared journey in which young people would play a crucial role. It said the examination system should become increasingly transparent, technology-enabled, secure and accountable, but such a transformation could not be achieved by the government alone.

Under the campaign, students from every district and block, as well as colleges, universities, coaching institutes and other educational platforms, have been invited to submit suggestions. They can identify shortcomings in the existing examination system, share personal experiences, propose improvements or suggest new solutions.

The government said every suggestion would be studied and examined by experts. Wherever feasible, proposals would be considered for implementation within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with existing rules and constitutional provisions.

The government urged students to participate actively in the campaign and register their suggestions through the “Students’ Voice – With Students” portal at samvad.jharkhand.gov.in.
The initiative, it said, is ultimately aimed at restoring the confidence of Jharkhand’s youth, protecting the aspirations of millions of families and building an examination system that students can trust.
