Jitpur Mining Project Support Boosts Morale of Young Athletes

Godda: In an initiative aimed at encouraging rural and emerging sporting talent and fostering a positive sporting environment among youth, TERRI Mining Private Limited and Adani Foundation, under the Jitpur Mining Project, extended their support to the District-Level Athletics Meet in Godda. The initiative seeks to motivate young athletes and provide greater encouragement to sporting talent from across the district.

Held at Gandhi Maidan, Godda, the district-level athletics competition witnessed the participation of around 300 athletes. Participants across different age categories showcased their talent, hard work, determination and sporting spirit. Winners and outstanding performers were felicitated for their achievements. Medals and mementos supported by TERRI Mining Private Limited and Adani Foundation added to the enthusiasm and motivation of the participating athletes.

Speaking on the occasion, guests and organisers highlighted that sports are not merely a means of competition but also play an important role in developing discipline, confidence, leadership qualities and team spirit among young people. Support for such sporting events provides a valuable platform for talented youngsters, particularly those from rural and remote areas, to showcase their abilities and pursue their sporting aspirations.
