Actor Javed Pathan Meets Assembly Speaker, Highlights State’s Potential for Film Industry


Ranchi: Film and television actor Javed Pathan, who is on a visit to Jharkhand, called on Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato during a courtesy visit to the State Assembly on Thursday. During the meeting, the actor shared his journey in the entertainment industry and discussed his experiences in films and television.


On the occasion, the Speaker felicitated Pathan with a shawl and a memento in recognition of his achievements. MLAs Mathura Prasad Mahato and Mohammad Tajuddin were also present during the interaction.
A native of Dhanbad in Jharkhand, Javed Pathan's father served in Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). Over the years, Pathan has established himself as a recognised actor through his work in Hindi films, television serials, music albums, advertisements and web series, earning national recognition while bringing pride to his home state.


Pathan said he gained widespread recognition through the popular television serial "Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev", while "Jodha Akbar" helped establish him as a prominent television actor. So far, he has acted in two feature films, 18 television serials and three Zee Music albums. His notable film credits include "Horror Love Story" (2021), "Caste of Love" (2022) and "NRI Wives" (2023). He has also appeared in the popular mythological television series "Vighnaharta Ganesh." Two of his upcoming films are slated for release soon.


Speaking about his home state, Pathan said Jharkhand is endowed with scenic landscapes, cultural diversity and attractive filming locations. He particularly highlighted the tourism and filmmaking potential of Dhanbad, Parasnath and Topchanchi, describing them as ideal destinations for investment and film production.

He also welcomed the Jharkhand government's decision to establish a film institute in the state, saying the initiative would create new opportunities for young people aspiring to build careers in the film and entertainment industry.


Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato praised Pathan for bringing laurels to Jharkhand through his achievements in cinema and television. He said the actor has helped showcase the state's art, culture, natural heritage and talent on a wider platform, and wished him success in his forthcoming films and television projects.
