Directs 100 Percent Health Check-Up of Students and Improvement in Basic Facilities

Deoghar. A review meeting of the Education Department was held at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania. During the meeting, the district's education system, student attendance, matriculation examination results, midday meal scheme and basic facilities available in schools were reviewed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a block-wise review of student attendance in schools. Expressing concern over low attendance in several areas, he directed the concerned officials to take immediate corrective measures and prepare an effective action plan to improve regular attendance. He also reviewed the matriculation examination results and stressed the need to enhance the quality of education across the district.During the meeting, information regarding basic infrastructure and facilities available to students was also examined. Officials were instructed to address deficiencies at the earliest. Reviewing the Midday Meal Scheme, the Deputy Commissioner directed that vacant cook positions be filled as per rules without delay. He also instructed officials to ensure timely lifting and supply of rice to schools so that students' meals are not disrupted.
Special emphasis was placed on students' health and well-being. The Deputy Commissioner directed that 100 percent health check-ups of students be conducted in all schools. For this, he asked the Education Department to coordinate with Community Health Centres and prepare a proper roster to ensure timely medical examinations for every student.The meeting was attended by the District Education Officer, District Superintendent of Education, District Supply Officer, Assistant Public Relations Officer, Block Education Extension Officers and other concerned officials.
