School pays tribute to the founder of DAV institutions with spiritual fervor

Deoghar: Gita Devi DAV Public School, Castor Town, Deoghar, celebrated the 162nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj, founder of DAV institutions, with devotion and enthusiasm on Saturday. On this occasion, a Vedic Havan Yagya was organized in the school premises following traditional rituals, in which Principal Dilip Kumar Singh, teachers, and students participated collectively.
The school campus resonated with Vedic chants during the ceremony, creating a spiritual atmosphere. Through the Havan Yagya, the participants paid tribute to Mahatma Hansraj and pledged to follow his ideals.At the end of the program, Principal Dilip Kumar Singh highlighted the life and contributions of Mahatma Hansraj. He said that Hansraj was a renowned Arya Samaj leader, social reformer, and great educationist who dedicated his entire life to social reform and the spread of education. Due to his remarkable efforts, more than 900 DAV schools and colleges across the country are providing quality education today.
He further stated that Mahatma Hansraj was deeply influenced by the ideas of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He strongly opposed social evils like child marriage and untouchability and promoted women’s education. He was also a firm supporter of the integration of modern science with Vedic values.The school reaffirmed its commitment to adopting the values of Mahatma Hansraj and contributing to nation-building through education.
