Binay Kumar Appointed Member of the Central Government's Hindi Advisory Committee

Ranchi: The Government of India has appointed senior journalist Binay Kumar, Coordinator for Bihar and Jharkhand with the national news agency United News of India (UNI), as a member of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Textiles.

The Committee is chaired ex-officio by the Union Minister for Textiles, while the Minister of State for Textiles serves as Vice-Chairman. According to the official resolution issued by Shri Akhilesh Kumar, Deputy Director General of the Ministry, the Committee has been reconstituted. Alongside the Union Textiles Minister, Shri Giriraj Singh, as Chairman and the Minister of State as Vice-Chairman, the Committee also includes several distinguished Members of Parliament from both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, as well as senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service of Secretary and Chairman rank.

With over three and a half decades of distinguished service in journalism across Bihar and Jharkhand, Mr. Kumar has held senior positions with leading daily newspapers and served as Bureau Chief and Special Correspondent with UNI (Univarta) and Hindustan Samachar. He has previously been a member of several important committees of the Union Government, including those of the Ministries of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Rural Development, and Steel.

Notably, he reported on the *Seventh World Hindi Conference held in Suriname* as an accredited journalist. Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Kumar conveyed heartfelt thanks to *Prime Minister Narendra Modi* and *Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh*, assuring that he would strive with utmost dedication to uphold the trust placed in him.Mr. Binay Kumar hails from Khaira village, Khaira Block, Jamui district (Bihar).
