Ranchi- The body of Ramdas Soren, Jharkhand’s Education Minister, who died in Delhi on Friday night, was brought to Ranchi on Saturday. At the State Assembly, leaders across the political spectrum offered their respects.
Governor Santosh Gangwar termed his demise an “irreparable loss.” Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, Opposition leader Babulal Marandi, and several ministers and MLAs joined in the tribute.
Soren, 55, had been battling illness after a brain stroke. His last rites will be performed later today in Singhbhum.
Leaders remembered him for his honesty, humility, and service to tribal communities. Health Minister Irfan Ansari called him “a respected voice of Kolhan.” Former CM Raghubar Das said his passing was “extremely sad.”
Across Jharkhand, people grieve the loss of a leader committed to education, social justice, and tribal welfare.
