Ranchi: A PLFI militant wanted in multiple serious criminal cases for over 20 years surrendered to police on Friday at Mahabuang police station in Simdega district. Simdega SP Mohammad Arshi informed in a press briefing that Abhiram Kandulna alias Abraham Kandulna, a resident of Birnibeda under Mahabuang police station, was a former active member of the banned outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) and had been involved in several criminal incidents in the region.
He was named in three cases — FIR numbers 13/2005, 09/2006, and 04/2011 — registered at Bano police station, including charges of murder and other serious crimes. A red warrant had also been issued for his arrest. Despite being on the run for two decades, sustained pressure from the police finally led to his surrender. After surrendering, the accused was taken into judicial custody following legal formalities.
