Ranchi: Ahead of the upcoming “Constitution Bachao” (Save Constitution) program in Gumla, Congress co-incharge Bela Prasad and senior leader Bandhu Tirki visited the district to engage with party workers and discuss strategies to ensure the event’s success. During their visit, Bela Prasad also toured the tribal culture museum in the district headquarters, which is considered a symbol of tribal heritage in Jharkhand.

The museum showcases various elements of tribal life, traditions, and identity, offering visitors a deep understanding of Jharkhand’s indigenous cultures. After inspecting the museum, Bela Prasad said it provides an excellent platform to understand tribal culture closely and appreciate the unique customs that give the tribal community its distinct identity globally. He expressed pride in Congress’s longstanding commitment to protecting tribal interests and vowed that the party will continue to fight for preserving tribal identity and culture.

Congress leader Bandhu Tirki called the museum a sacred site for Jharkhand, where the history and present condition of tribal people are vividly presented. He announced plans to demand a special government package for the museum’s maintenance and improvement. Additionally, Tirki stated that they would advocate for the Kartik Oraon College in the region to be upgraded to a university, which would enhance the educational environment locally.

Both leaders highlighted that the upcoming Constitution Bachao campaign in Gumla will prominently feature tribal rights and issues. They reiterated Congress’s dedication to fighting for the tribal community’s rights and empowerment, which remains central to their political mission.
