CM Soren to Chair High-Level Meeting on Law and Order on Tuesday

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren will preside over a high-level review meeting on the law and order situation in Jharkhand on Tuesday, May 27, at Project Bhavan. The meeting will focus on 16 critical agenda points, including illegal infiltration and major criminal incidents across the state.

Senior officials such as the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, and the Director General of Police (DGP) will attend the meeting in person. Zonal Inspectors General (IGs), Range Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), Deputy Commissioners (DCs), and Superintendents of Police (SPs) from all districts will join via video conferencing.

The agenda covers a wide range of security and administrative concerns including:

  • Review of major crimes
  • Cybercrime
  • Possession and use of illegal firearms
  • Illegal infiltration
  • Crimes against women
  • Atrocities against SC/ST communities
  • Land-related disputes
  • Mob lynching incidents
  • Security of elected representatives
  • Court and judicial security
  • Communal tensions and caste-based disturbances
  • Acid attacks
  • Illegal mining
  • Illegal lotteries
  • Sale and production of illicit liquor
  •  

The meeting aims to evaluate the prevailing security environment and to issue firm instructions to enhance policing and administrative effectiveness across the state.
