
Ranchi: The Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language has announced a major reshuffle involving several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across Jharkhand. As per the official notification, the newly appointed District Magistrates and Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to exercise the powers granted under Section 14 of the Indian Citizen Protection Code, 2023.
Ajay Nath Jha, who was serving as the Director of Horticulture and also held additional charge as the Managing Director of the Jharkhand State Agricultural Marketing Board, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Tribal Welfare.
Faiz A Ahmad Mumtaz, the former Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, has been posted as the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh.
Aditya Ranjan, earlier serving as the Director of Information Technology and E-Governance, will now serve as the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad.
Ram Nivas Yadav, who was the Director of Higher Education, has been transferred to Giridih as District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner.
R. Ronita, Director of the Jharkhand Space Application Centre (JSAC) and CEO of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab (ABVIL), has been posted as the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Khunti.
Naman Priyesh Lakra, previously Deputy Commissioner of Giridih, is now posted to Deoghar in the same role.
Anjali Yadav, who was the Director of Tourism, has been appointed as the District Magistrate and Controller of the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Examination Board.
Karn Satyarthi, who held additional charge of the Examination Competition Board, has been posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh.
Chandan Kumar, earlier Deputy Commissioner of Gumla, has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Godda.
In addition, new appointments have been made for the posts of District Magistrates and Deputy Commissioners in East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur) and West Singhbhum (Chaibasa), among others.
