NIA attached property of ISIS terrorist Shahnawaz and his associates, has connection with Jharkhand

Ranchi: National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached the property of Hazaribagh resident ISIS terrorist Shahnawaz and his associate. In the ISIS module case, NIA has attached four immovable properties of 11 terrorists in Pune. NIA said that these properties were being used for terrorist purposes. These four properties were being used for making IEDs, its training and planning terrorist acts.

NIA has already arrested all the 11 accused in this case. The properties attached under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act are residential houses and flats. These properties were in the names of accused Mohammad Imran Khan, Mohammad Yunus Saki, Mohammad Shahnawaz Alam, Mohammad Rizwan Ali, Qadir Dastagir Pathan, Simab Qazi, Zulfikar Ali Barodawala, Abdullah Faiyaz Shaikh, Talha Liaqat Khan, Shamil Nachan and Akif Nachan.

The arrested Shahnawaz Safiuzzama Alam is originally a resident of Pagmill, Pelawal in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. His passport was made in Ranchi on 31 October 2016, whose validity is till 30 October 2026. His date of birth in the passport is March 5, 1993. Mohammad Arshad Warsi, the second associate of Mohammad Shahnawaz arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police, is also a resident of Garhwa, Jharkhand.

Shahnawaz has done Mining Engineering from Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. Being a mining engineer, he has knowledge of bomb blasts. He also did many experiments in making bombs. In 2020, he went to jail from Hazaribagh in a robbery case.
