Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan took part in 'Medica Cancer Conclave' organized by Mahavir Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Ranchi on Saturday.
Radhakrishnan said that the problem of cancer is increasing in our country and Jharkhand is also not untouched by it.
In such a situation, organizing this Cancer Conclave is a commendable effort in which experts from all over the country including Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai are participating.
The exchange of their knowledge and ideas will help in cancer treatment and morale boost.
The Governor said that this conclave can be a useful platform for researchers and people associated with the medical world to discuss the challenges of cancer and share their experiences.
This will soon provide the latest methods of cancer detection, better treatment as well as promote health awareness.
He said that everyone will have to work together to get rid of cancer.
Besides, the hospital will also have to keep in mind that the best treatment for cancer patients can be done at reasonable cost.
The Governor said that the spirit of service and universal brotherhood has been inherent in our country since ancient times and centuries.

Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta who was special guest during Medica Cancer Conclave said that doctors who write medicine to the patients in their Prescription used to provide medicines at an affordable cost in which poor patients can be comfortable in subscribing to those medicines.
Banna Gupta said, we have all cooperation with doctors and RIMS Hospital is doing a good job in this segment.
Gupta added we are now providing 30 % time to doctors in a year to do research work and come out with the optimum solution of disease.
Those doctors who will submit a Research Paper can only be promoted.
Additional Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh highlighted that we are appealing and making a policy for farmers to not to use pesticide, Fertilisers and other medicines in an agricultural field.
Arun Kumar Singh emphasised on Organic Farming instead of use of fertilisers and pesticides.
Singh added use of plastic bottles and polythene for carrying vegetables and other food items should be avoided.
Cancer Specialist and Oncologist Dr. Pankaj Chautrvedi who is contributing his service to Tata Cancer Hospital in Mumbai said it is human and painful to see the patients who come from remote areas of the country.
It is very difficult for them to cope up with the expenses of Cancer Treatment.
