DC asks officials to Execute registration and application of farmers on time

Ranchi: A meeting of the District Coordination Committee was organized for the implementation of the Jharkhand State Crop Relief scheme under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha in which other senior officials of the district administration participated. 

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner directed to run of a ‘Krishak Sampark Abhiyaan’ for the promotion of the crop relief scheme in the district. While directing the concerned officials including CSC to spread the publicity for registration on the respective portal to the farmers, the Deputy Commissioner said that all the officers should complete the campaign-related activities using the available resources. For the promotion of the scheme, a team will be formed at each level for Krishak Sampark Abhiyan.

The Deputy Commissioner said that necessary information should be provided to the farmers through Krishak Mitras so that they can be registered in Pragya Kendras. Necessary instructions were also given by the Deputy Commissioner to the District Statistical Officer for the crop cutting experiments. 

As per the Major provisions of the Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme benefit under the scheme is applicable only in case of crop damage due to natural calamity. To take advantage of the scheme, separate registration and application will have to be made in each crop season (Kharif and Rabi).

However, there is no premium to be paid for participating in the scheme. As per the scheme, the assessment of crop damage due to natural calamity will be done through a crop-cutting experiment. In case of crop loss up to 30-50 percent, the applicant will be given an assistance amount of Rs 3000 per acre.

If there is more than 50 percent crop damage, the applicant will be given an assistance amount of Rs 4000 per acre. Moreover, crop damage assistance amount will be given up to a maximum of 5 acres.
