Arshad Warsi's Twitter account hacked

Actor Arshad Warsi on Tuesday said his Twitter account had been hacked after unusual messages were posted from his handle without his knowledge.

The actor alerted his followers about the suspected breach through a tweet, saying that some "strange messages" had been sent from his account.

"It seems like my Twitter account is hacked, some strange messages are being sent from my account without my knowledge," Warsi wrote.

He later said that he had changed his password and hoped that the issue would be resolved.

The incident briefly raised concerns among his followers, as the messages appearing from an actor's verified social media account could easily be mistaken for posts made by him.

On the professional front, Warsi was gearing up for his next major release, "Total Dhamaal", directed by Indra Kumar. The film is the third instalment of the popular "Dhamaal" franchise and follows "Double Dhamaal", released in 2011.

The comedy features a large ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaffrey and Esha Gupta.
