Actor Adhyayan Suman has revealed why the makers of his upcoming romantic musical ‘Main Na Raha Mera’ decided to postpone its theatrical release, saying the crowded box-office calendar prompted them to choose a more suitable date.

The film, which also stars Divita Rai, was earlier scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 23, 2026. It will now release on December 11, 2026, giving the makers additional space to bring the film to audiences without facing the intense competition expected in October.

Explaining the decision, Adhyayan said the film holds personal significance for him and that the team wants its emotional story to connect with viewers as intended.

“‘Main Na Raha Mera’ is an extremely personal film for me, and we want audiences to experience its emotions the way we have envisioned them. With a story that explores love, heartbreak and the complexities of ego, it was important for us to find the right window for the film,” the actor said.

He added that several films were scheduled to release around October 23, prompting the team to reconsider its original plan. According to Adhyayan, the new December 11 date would offer a better opportunity for the film to receive the audience attention the makers are hoping for.

The postponement places the film in a later theatrical window, as the team seeks to give its romantic narrative and music a stronger opportunity to connect with moviegoers.

Producer Dharmesh Sangani echoed the actor’s views, saying that choosing the right release date is an important part of ensuring a film reaches its intended audience.

“As producers, our responsibility is not just to make a film but also to ensure that it gets the best possible opportunity to connect with audiences in cinemas. October 23 was shaping up to be a crowded release date, and after careful consideration, we decided that December 11 would be a more suitable window for Main Na Raha Mera,” Sangani said.

He also highlighted the importance of music to the film’s storytelling, adding that the team wants to give the project the space it needs to reach audiences.

The makers have already begun building interest in the film with the release of its teaser, followed by the title track sung by Arijit Singh. Another romantic number, ‘Shayad’, voiced by Rekha Bhardwaj, has also been unveiled.

The songs are expected to play a key role in setting the mood for the film, which explores themes of love, heartbreak and the emotional complications that arise when ego enters relationships.

Directed by Amit Kasaria, ‘Main Na Raha Mera’ is produced by Dharmesh Sangani under the banner of Sangani Brothers Motion Pictures in association with T-Series.

With its release date now shifted to December 11, 2026, the film’s makers will be looking to build on the initial interest generated by its promotional material and music ahead of its theatrical debut.
