Aishwarya Raj Encourages Youth to Embrace Cycling for Health and a Cleaner Environment

Marking World Bicycle Day, actress Aishwarya Raj called on young people to make cycling a regular part of their lives, highlighting its benefits for both personal health and environmental conservation.

Speaking on the occasion, Aishwarya said that good health and positive thinking form the foundation of a successful life. She described the bicycle as more than just a fitness tool, calling it a symbol of a cleaner and greener India. Encouraging the youth to adopt cycling in their daily routine, she said the simple habit could help reduce pollution while promoting a healthier lifestyle.

“World Bicycle Day reminds us that cycling is not only beneficial for our bodies but also for the environment. By choosing bicycles more often, we can contribute to a cleaner nation and take a meaningful step toward better health every day,” she said.

Actor Vikrant Massey echoed similar sentiments, stressing that cycling offers a practical solution to rising pollution levels while improving physical fitness. He noted that greater use of bicycles could significantly reduce carbon emissions and support environmental sustainability.

Massey also praised the growing enthusiasm for cycling among younger generations, pointing to the participation of even very young children in cycling events. He described the sight of a 20-month-old child attempting to pedal a bicycle as an inspiring example of how the movement is gaining momentum across age groups.

The message was delivered during the 77th edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle initiative, held on World Bicycle Day in the presence of Mansukh Mandaviya. The event brought together several public figures, including boxer Nupur Sheoran and actress-model Ragini Dwivedi, to promote fitness, cycling culture, and healthier living.

The event formed part of the broader Fit India Movement, which continues to encourage citizens to adopt active lifestyles while raising awareness about the environmental benefits of sustainable modes of transport.
