Mumbai: Television actress Deepika Singh delighted her fans with an impromptu classical dance performance on the iconic title track of the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram, showcasing her grace and passion for dance.
The actress, currently seen as Mangal in the television show Mangal Lakshmi, shared a video on social media in which she performed to the timeless melody. A trained Odissi dancer, Deepika impressed viewers with her elegant expressions and fluid movements. Her traditional look, featuring a saree, classic jewellery, and a gajra, added to the visual appeal of the performance.
Revealing the story behind the dance, Deepika said the performance was completely unplanned and created in the moment without any prior rehearsal.
“This wasn’t planned... No rehearsal. Just a feeling. Shot before changing for my next look. Satyam Shivam Sundaram was playing, the attire felt right, and I knew if I waited to ‘perfect it,’ I wouldn’t do it at all. So I choreographed it on the spot. Danced it the minute I made it. Imperfect. Impromptu. Mine. Enjoy the vibe,” she wrote alongside the video.
Beyond her acting career, Deepika is also known for embracing motherhood with equal dedication. She often shares glimpses of her life with her son, Soham, and has spoken openly about how motherhood has shaped her journey.
On Mother’s Day this year, the actress reflected on her experiences as a parent, describing motherhood as the most transformative role of her life.
“Motherhood continues to be the most transformative journey of my life. While I have played many characters on screen, being a mother to my son, Soham, is truly the role of a lifetime,” she said.
Deepika also highlighted the importance of children seeing their mothers pursue careers and ambitions. According to her, such experiences help children understand the value of hard work and teach them that a woman’s identity extends beyond a single role.
Deepika married director Rohit Raj Goyal on May 2, 2014. The couple welcomed their son, Soham, in May 2017.
The actress, who rose to fame with her portrayal of Sandhya Rathi in the hit television series Diya Aur Baati Hum, continues to connect with fans both through her on-screen performances and her passion for dance.
