Sanya Malhotra wraps up Jodhpur shoot schedule of ‘Sundar Poonam’

Mumbai- Actress Sanya Malhotra has completed the Jodhpur schedule of her upcoming romantic thriller Sundar Poonam.

Sharing the update with fans, Sanya posted a fun behind-the-scenes video on social media, capturing moments of laughter and celebration with her team as they bid farewell to Jodhpur after wrapping up the schedule.

Through one of her Instagram Stories, the Mrs actress also revealed that the team has already moved on to the next shooting location for the film, although she did not disclose the destination. She also shared a short clip from a flight, giving a thumbs-up to the camera.

Back in March, Sanya had officially begun shooting for “Sundar Poonam” with a traditional pooja ceremony. The actress had shared glimpses of the clapboard, photos from the aarti, and candid moments with her co-stars on social media with the caption, “#SundarPoonam It begins.”

Directed by Pulkit, the film was announced as part of the Prime Video 2026 slate. Actor Aditya Rawal is also part of the project’s main cast.

According to reports, the film draws inspiration from the 2025 honeymoon murder case involving an Indore-based businessman who was allegedly killed during a trip to Meghalaya.

Apart from “Sundar Poonam”, Sanya will also be seen in Bandar alongside Bobby Deol.

Going by the recently released trailer, the film revolves around a love story gone wrong and follows Sameera Mehra, played by Bobby Deol, who gets entangled in fake FIRs and police cases.

The film also stars Raj B Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajeet and Nagesh Bhonsle in key roles.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, “Bandar” has been written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, known for projects like Paatal Lok, Kohrra and Udta Punjab.

Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under the banner of Saffron Magicworks, “Bandar” is scheduled to release in theatres on June 5 this year.
