Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares her morning routine that ‘changed her life’

Mumbai: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has opened up about a simple yet effective morning routine that she says has significantly transformed her life.

In a video shared on Instagram, Samantha spoke about how the way one starts the day can influence overall health and well-being. She noted that common concerns like stubborn belly fat, skin issues, or waking up feeling puffy could be linked to poor morning habits.

She explained that cortisol, the body’s stress hormone, is naturally high in the morning. However, immediately checking phones, emails, or news can further increase stress levels, affecting focus and leading to a tendency for instant gratification throughout the day.

Sharing what she calls her “power morning” routine, Samantha outlined a few practical steps. She recommends avoiding phone use for the first hour after waking up, followed by five minutes of deep, intentional breathing to calm the nervous system. According to her, slow breathing activates the vagus nerve, helping the body feel safe and function more efficiently.

She also stressed the importance of getting sunlight exposure within 10 minutes of waking, consuming a simple morning elixir, and having a balanced breakfast to maintain stable blood sugar levels. Physical activity before 11 a.m. and delaying coffee or tea until after breakfast are also part of her routine.

Additionally, Samantha highlighted the importance of setting a clear intention for the day. Writing down even a small goal, she said, helps the mind stay focused and reduces distractions.

Encouraging her followers to try the routine consistently for 21 days, the actress said it took her years to build habits she could stick to, but the results have been life-changing. She added that pushing through initial resistance can help people realise how much control they have over shaping their lives.
