
Mumbai: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to social media to celebrate 15 years of his romantic comedy Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, a film he describes as his personal favourite. The movie starred Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, and Omi Vaidya in lead roles.
Recalling the enjoyable journey of bringing the film to life, Bhandarkar shared a nostalgic message on X (formerly Twitter). “Cheers to 15 years of the delightful & heartwarming film #DilTohBacchaHaiji! It’s a personal favorite of mine, and I simply can’t get enough of its fun-filled journey and lovely soundtrack,” he wrote.
The director also expressed gratitude to audiences for their continued affection for the film, thanking them for the love it has received over the years.
Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji featured a screenplay by Madhur Bhandarkar along with Anil Pandey and Neeraj Udhwani, with dialogues penned by Sanjay Chhel. The film also starred Shazahn Padamsee, Shruti Haasan, Rituparna Sengupta, Tisca Chopra, and Shraddha Das in key supporting roles.
Produced by Bhandarkar and Kumar Mangat Pathak under the banners of Bhandarkar Entertainment and Wide Frame Films, the film’s cinematography was handled by Ravi Walia, while Devendra Murdeshwar served as the chief editor.
Released on January 28, 2011, the film revolves around three roommates in search of true love, each embarking on a romantic journey after meeting women who profoundly impact their lives.
Meanwhile, Bhandarkar is currently working on his upcoming project The Wives, a drama that aims to delve into the hidden lives and inner struggles of women associated with the Bollywood film industry.
Produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment in collaboration with P J Motion Pictures, The Wives features Sonali Kulkarni, Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruwala in prominent roles.
Speaking about the project, the Heroine director said the film seeks to bring to light untold stories inspired by real-life incidents, amid widespread curiosity about the lives of Bollywood star wives.
