Mumbai — Actress Elli AvrRam shared her excitement about performing alongside Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar at the ongoing Filmfare Awards, calling the experience a “special and unforgettable moment.”
In an exclusive chat with IANS, the Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon actress revealed that she performed to one of her all-time favourite Bollywood songs, “Chura Ke Dil Mera,” which made the performance even more meaningful.
“I am very excited because I have performed with Akshay Kumar. This is my first Filmfare performance, so I’m feeling great about getting this opportunity. I really enjoyed myself on stage, especially since I danced to my favourite Bollywood song, ‘Chura Ke Dil Mera,’ which made it very special for me,” Elli said.
Expressing her gratitude, she added, “Thank you so much, Gujarat, for hosting the Filmfare Awards this time and for having me here.”
Focus on Fitness and Well-Being
Elli has previously opened up about her approach to fitness, emphasising the importance of both mental wellness and strength training. Speaking at a recent book launch, the Mickey Virus actress highlighted how she maintains balance through meditation, yoga, and heavy weightlifting.
“I start my day with a 30-minute meditation session every morning. If I miss it, the entire day feels quite different,” she shared.
She added, “Earlier, I enjoyed Pilates, but at a certain point — maybe age-related or just natural evolution — I realised the importance of lifting heavy weights, especially for women. So now I’ve made it a part of my routine.”
Combining multiple fitness disciplines, the Malang actress explained, “Along with meditation and weight training, I mix in yoga and Pilates. These practices together help me nurture both my mind and body, which are deeply connected.”
“Yoga, for me, is not just about maintaining a lean body — it’s much deeper. It’s about holistic well-being, nurturing both physical and mental health,” Elli concluded.
