Mumbai — Actress Radhikka Madan recently welcomed filmmaker Farah Khan to her Mumbai home for a special episode of the director's vlog.
In a candid conversation, the Angrezi Medium actress shared that her original dream was to become a professional dancer.
“I’m trained in jazz, ballet, and modern dance,” Radhikka said. “I wanted to introduce tap dancing in India. When you’re on stage, it feels like nothing else matters — you don’t see anyone.”
The Shiddat actress also opened up about how she landed her debut role in the television serial Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. She recalled receiving a direct message from a casting agent for an audition in Delhi.
“The location seemed shady, and at the time, I used to watch a lot of Crime Patrol,” she laughed. “So I took two of my friends along, armed with hockey sticks. In Delhi, getting into fights isn’t exactly rare.”
Radhikka explained how she made a plan: “I told my friends, ‘I’ll go in first, and you follow me. Tomorrow, we’ll be front-page news!’ But when I walked in, I realised it was a genuine audition for a TV show. I felt awkward and was about to leave, but then they called my name.”
To her surprise, she felt completely at ease in front of the camera — a feeling that reminded her of performing on stage.
She went on to say that she learned the art of acting entirely through her experience on Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, in which she starred opposite Shakti Arora. The show aired from 2014 to 2016 and became one of Colors TV’s highest-rated serials.
After making a name for herself on television, Radhikka transitioned into films and featured in notable projects like Shiddat and Angrezi Medium.
Next, she will be seen alongside Anil Kapoor in director Suresh Triveni’s upcoming film Subedaar.
