Diksha Dhami, Eshaa Pathak & Others Share the Power of Music on World Music Day

Mumbai – Music is a universal language that touches lives, and on the occasion of World Music Day, actors from popular TV shows opened up about the profound role music has played in shaping their personal and professional journeys.

Diksha Dhami, known for her role in Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain, reflected on her lifelong connection with music. “Music has been with me for as long as I can remember—even before I could speak properly. My mother is a singer, and I grew up listening to her sing while she cooked, cleaned, or just relaxed. I didn’t always understand the words, but I’d hum along. Her voice had a soothing magic that made everything feel warm and safe. Even now, when I hear her sing, it takes me back to those childhood days. To me, music means comfort, memories, and home.”

Eshaa Pathak, who plays Gauri in Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri on Sun Neo, shared, “Music has always been an integral part of my life. Before acting, I was a singer. Even now, when I feel low, I sing—it’s like my best friend. Music is comfort, peace, and life itself. I believe that without music or sound, we’re incomplete. I have a deep love for old songs, especially those from the ‘90s. Lata Didi was music personified, and Kishore Dada’s timeless songs never fail to charm me. Music has also helped me a lot in acting—my pronunciation is clearer, and I understand how to express emotions through words.”

Suraj Pratap Singh, who plays Prem in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani on Sun Neo, described music as a spiritual force. “Music is not just sound; it’s a pure vibration that touches the soul. Whether I’m feeling high or low, music always uplifts me. I genuinely believe the universe functions on vibrations—and music connects us to that. My favorite singers are Sonu Nigam and KK. Even though KK is no longer with us, his voice still resonates in our hearts. I’ll never forget performing on Suraj Hua Maddham—it was a magical experience.”
