Akshay Kumar gets Instagram mememto on 20 mn followers

Actor Akshay Kumar has achieved a major social media milestone by becoming the first male Bollywood actor to cross 20 million followers on Instagram.

The actor, who has built a massive fan base through his decades-long career in Hindi cinema, received a special Instagram memento to mark the achievement. Akshay shared a photograph of himself holding the memento on Monday and thanked his followers for their continued support.

“Here’s another gold from the good people at Instagram. Glad to share, the first Bollywood Actor (Male) to cross the 20 million followers milestone is yours truly. Thank you all once again for the love, sending lots of love and prayers your way,” he wrote on Instagram.

Earlier in the month, Akshay had celebrated reaching the milestone by sharing a boomerang video and marking the occasion with colourful streamers.

The achievement reflected the actor’s strong connection with audiences beyond the traditional cinema space. Akshay has remained one of Bollywood’s most active and commercially successful stars, while also maintaining a significant presence on social media.

On the film front, Akshay was enjoying the success of “Gold”, a sports drama based on India’s historic hockey triumph at the 1948 Olympic Games. The film, released on Independence Day, had opened strongly at the box office.

He also had several high-profile projects lined up, including “Kesari”, “Housefull 4” and “Good News”, giving the actor another busy period on the professional front.
