Cold wave claims half a dozen lives in state, Mcklueskiganj shivers at 0 degree Celsius

Ranchi: Cold wave in the state has so far claimed half a dozen lives in different districts of the state.

Three members of a family living in Kansara Tola near Gamharia Railway Station died due to cold. The deceased have been identified as Gokul Kansari (53), Mohanlal Kansari (47) and Sonu Kansari (37). On the other hand, one person each has also died in Lohardaga, Gumla and Ranchi districts.

Such is the decline in the temperature that Mcklueskiganj has reached zero degree Celsius, Due to the cold one could easy see frozen ice on the ground. On the other hand in the state capital also the temperature has fallen by 2 degrees and the minimum was hovering around 6.5 degree Celsius while Kanke was around 5 degree Celsius.

In wake of the extremely cold weather conditions, the districts administration has announced a change in the school timings of all the government and private schools.
