CM Hemant Soren Distributes Appointment Letters to 319 Teachers and 17 Women Supervisors, Says Government Jobs Should Be Dedicated to Jharkhand’s Development, Not Just Salaries

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday distributed appointment letters to 319 newly appointed intermediate and graduate-trained assistant teachers along with 17 women supervisors during a programme held at the Jharkhand Ministry auditorium in Project Building, Ranchi.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that government employees should work with the objective of contributing to the overall development of Jharkhand rather than treating the job merely as a source of salary. He stated that the state government is continuously strengthening manpower across departments to speed up development work.

Hemant Soren said that around 9,000 teachers have been appointed in the state during the last four months, while nearly 15,000 to 16,000 appointments have been made over the past two years. He added that more appointments would be made in the coming months as well.

The Chief Minister also pointed out that while several states in the country are facing issues related to examination paper leaks, Jharkhand has remained free from such controversies and recruitment processes are being conducted in a transparent manner.

“We Must Eliminate Malnutrition Completely”

Speaking about the role of women supervisors, the Chief Minister described malnutrition as a major challenge for Jharkhand and urged officials to work seriously toward eliminating it completely. He said protecting women and children from malnutrition should remain a priority.

He further remarked that many teachers hesitate to work in remote rural areas, but reaching villages is necessary for the state’s progress. He told the newly appointed teachers that they are now representatives of the government and will help connect government services and schemes to every village and household.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the impact of welfare schemes, saying that initiatives like the Maiyan Samman Yojana are empowering girls and encouraging them to take on greater responsibilities. Referring to a candidate from Khunti who received an appointment letter as Deputy Collector, he said the achievement was a proud moment for the state.

Teachers Have a Big Responsibility: Radhakrishna Kishore

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radhakrishna Kishore said that teachers carry a major responsibility toward society from the very first day of their appointment. He appealed to them to work with honesty, sincerity and dedication.

He also said that Jharkhand should move forward with the same spirit and vision with which Shibu Soren struggled for the creation of the state. He added that the government is consistently working to generate employment opportunities and the newly appointed teachers and women supervisors will play an important role in state-building.

Several senior officials of the Education Department were present during the programme.
