State Cong’s show of strength in Rahul’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar

Ranchi: Jharkhand Congress marked a powerful and historic presence in Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing Voter Adhikar Yatra, rallying behind the slogan “Modi Hatao – Loktantra Bachao” (Remove Modi – Save Democracy) in Bihar’s Nawada. Under the leadership of state Congress president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, a convoy of nearly 150 vehicles departed from the Congress headquarters in Ranchi at 6:30 AM, heading toward the Yatra venue.

Vehicles adorned with Congress flags and “Voter Adhikar Yatra” stickers symbolized the party’s commitment to defending democracy and constitutional values. The event saw participation from a significant number of Congress leaders and workers from Jharkhand, including ministers Deepika Pandey Singh and Dr. Irfan Ansari, senior leaders Subodh Kant Sahay, Rajesh Thakur, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, Furkan Ansari, Alok Kumar Dubey, and Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo, among many others. Legislators, former ministers, and district presidents from Ranchi, Chatra, and other regions also joined the convoy.

During the programme, Congress leaders met Rahul Gandhi and extended a formal invitation for him to visit Jharkhand. Gandhi appreciated the strong participation from the state and encouraged Congress workers to continue the fight to protect democratic and constitutional principles.

Addressing the gathering, state Congress president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh stated, “Rahul Gandhi’s movement is the voice of the people. Every Congress worker will carry this message to every village. Jharkhand Congress will walk step by step with him.”

Echoing this sentiment, Jharkhand Congress general secretary Alok Kumar Dubey, chief spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo, and spokesperson Dr. M. Tausif said, “This Yatra is not just Congress’s journey — it’s the people’s fight. The country is demanding change, and in 2024, the Modi government will be removed to restore democratic values.”

They also highlighted Bihar’s historical significance, stating, “Whenever Bihar has awakened, it has changed the course of Indian politics.”

As chants of “Modi Hatao – Loktantra Bachao” echoed through the streets of Nawada, Jharkhand Congress reaffirmed its resolve to safeguard voters’ rights and constitutional democracy in the upcoming political battle.
