Ranchi: The long-awaited Ratu Road Elevated Corridor in Ranchi will be officially inaugurated on June 19 by Union Minister for Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced Ranchi MP and Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth. After a meeting with Gadkari to update him on the project’s progress, Seth secured the minister’s confirmation for the inauguration date. This corridor is expected to provide significant relief to city residents who have been dealing with severe traffic congestion for over 40 years.

Construction of the corridor is nearly complete, with finishing touches, lighting, and beautification work underway. Seth highlighted that this project goes beyond infrastructure—it represents a historic milestone in bringing convenience and dignity to millions of Ranchi residents. Preparations for the inauguration ceremony will start soon, and the completion of this project is set to transform the city’s landscape, offering residents a modern and well-organized urban experience.

Spanning 3.76 kilometers, the Ratu Road Elevated Corridor is the first of its kind in Jharkhand. Its operation will ease traffic congestion and allow smoother flow of vehicles. The reduction in traffic pressure in the Ratu Road area will save commuters valuable time and fuel. In addition, plantation work along the service road and median below the corridor is ongoing, which will enhance the city’s overall aesthetic appeal.
