Weather watch: Eastern winds to increase the temperature

Ranchi: The Eastern winds will once again increase the minimum temperature in the state over the course of next few days.

On Monday morning the minimum temperature in the capital was recorded at 9.1 degrees which was highest in the last three days. According to the local MET department the temperature in the capital will continue to increase for the next few days.

Weather scientist Abhishek Anand said that due to change in the wind at the lower level the temperature has been increasing. He said that for the next few days Winds from East will blow in the state however after that the winds will change their directions to North-west after which the minimum temperature will fall down.

He said that for the first time in the history of Ranchi in the last 50 years the temperature has gone beyond 17.6 degrees, further in this month rainfall did not take place as it normally happens. He said that due to climate change the weather has been changing in Ranchinand this change has been visible since 2000.

As far as weather across the state was concerned, in the last 24 hours the maximum temperature in the state has fallen Soren with Jamshedpur recording a temperature of 25 degrees while Daltonganj was at 22.6 degrees. Chaibasa was the coolest at 8 degrees which was 3.9 degrees less than usual.
